Jacqueline Pischorn was taught German stage-language from an early age during extensive acting experience throughout her childhood. She studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in her home town, Graz. In 1998 she moved to London to gain a postgraduate performance Diploma for Singing, at Trinity College of Music. She is German language coach for the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Welsh National Opera and notable UK choirs.
As a singer, Jacqueline Pischorn performs oratorio and Lieder in U.K. and Austria. One of her specialist fields is contemporary music, with many first performances, including works by Johannes Kern, Danny Ledesma, Vahé Haretounian and the cantata for soprano and piano, Kyng Orfeo*, written for her by Ian Schofield.
Jacqueline has always enjoyed languages and the practical differences of their declamations and sounds. The book, German Diction, is born of her passion for detail and clear diction on stage.
* Kyng Orfeo by Ian Schofield is published by Caddy Publishing.
