Overture: Spinnaker Tower for wind band : first performance July 16th, Barnet Youth Wind Orchestra, conductor Ben Palmer. Strong stuff with fine solo lines.
Three Motets for SSATTB unaccompanied voices, comprises a new Cantate Domino, a new Christus Factus Est, and the well-established Lauda Sion, to produce a concert-set or liturgical-collection.

BOOKS
A new writer, Antonia Hilder, has produced a delightfully successful set of stories from Portsmouth in Hampshire. The first edition sold out in three months; this second edition is revised and expanded.
Felton's Felony and other Portsmouth stories - seven stories giving fictional accounts of factual events in Old Portsmouth, initially designed for children but enjoyed by all ages; lots of line-drawings by Janet Jackson. Local history. |
